About
Dr. Yolanda Wade-Williams
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 14 years of experience helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University and my Doctor of Education from the American College of Education.
I specialize in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, family conflict, communication challenges, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is individualized and evidence-based. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman Level 1 trained, and also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other approaches based on each client’s needs.
Throughout my career, I have worked in residential, outpatient, assisted-living, and school-based settings with clients from diverse backgrounds. I have also served as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College, teaching Life Skills courses focused on career development and vocational goals.
I believe healing begins with self-awareness, radical acceptance, and feeling genuinely safe and supported. My goal is to help clients recognize the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, develop healthier ways of coping and communicating, and move toward greater peace, fulfillment, and emotional well-being.
