Medication Management
What is medication management?
Medication Management is the process of working with our providers to start/stop/titrate medications that treat the mental illness the client has been diagnosed with. Our providers ensure the client has the best options available to treat the mental illness. This can be done through monotherapy such as an antidepressant or anti-anxiety medications alone, or a combination of medications, depending on the clients individual needs. Our providers not only explain the risk and benefits of taking these medications but we also allow our clients to make their final decision.
Final thoughts: Some mental illnesses may not require medication at all, while some are short term use. Our providers will be sure to go over these options and any questions the client may have to ensure the client has everything the client needs to be successful in treatment.

Keep in mind, psychiatric diagnosis can change based on the information provided at the follow-up meetings.
At A New Hope, our providers work with the clients to obtain a thorough, high-quality, patient-centered comprehensive assessment. What does this mean? Well, in order to get the right diagnosis we provide our clients with the ability to discuss what is troubling them or their family. We utilize an array of techniques, surveys, and assessment questions to give you the most accurate and precise diagnosis. And at the end of your initial meetings, our providers will go over with you your diagnosis so you can ask as many questions as you would like.
Then what?
Well from there we offer our clients the options to treat those mental illnesses. This could include medication management, collaboration with your primary care provider, collaboration with a psychotherapist, pharmacogenetic testing, labs to r/u organic causes, or nothing at all. The best part of A New Hope is we allow our clients to make the final decision in their care. We offer our recommendations but it’s up to the client on what happens next!
